” I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made: your works are wonderful I know that full well.”
– Psalm 139:14
Confidence, it is a problem that many people out there struggle with. In today’s world we are all expected to fit into society’s idea of perfection to be considered beautiful or to be popular. We are all separated into social groups: the popular kids, the nerds, the smart, the athletic, and more. If you don’t fit into one of these groups you just seem lost. But, in reality we should see things as much more and what they really are. We are all made different, unique, and with our own gifts and abilities. Even the person who looks most perfect has flaws, even if they hide them well. We all need to practice loving ourselves more. When you look into the mirror at the end of the day and all of the makeup and sweat and everything is cleaned off, what do you see? Are you proud of the person you see? Do you love the person you see? You should. Because God does. God took a canvas and worked on it hard and made a beautiful masterpiece. And he held it out and showed you. Do you think it’s beautiful too? He does very much. And he loves his creation very much. God loves each and everyone of you. And that is why we should love ourselves and each other too. Share kindness, and love, and know you’re perfect in his eyes no matter what.
To be a Christian you are not supposed to be the good perfect people as society shows. If you are a Christian you are the messy, the ugly, the one who constantly makes mistakes often. But you are also the one who loves, prays, and asks for forgiveness. Society thinks church people are supposed to be so good and perfect, but really they’re the messiest of us all. But as long as you pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins, you’re going to be okay. Because he loves you. God didn’t expect us to be perfect, he knew we’d sin. That is why his only son died on the cross for us to live. To be able to have our sins forgiven and to be able to have everlasting eternal life if we follow him.
So for today, when you’re with others, let all that you do be done with love and happiness. Be positive and praise others. Love your neighbor and encourage them. Be confident and know you can succeed with Gods help. Know that through faith and prayer that nothing is out of reach. Know that you’re enough. Know that even in this world if you feel that you can’t find anyone to love you, that it’s going to be okay. Because God loves you and that’s all that matters. He will always be there through faith and prayer. So be confident, have fun, and love often. Also, when the end of the day comes, don’t forget to praise the lord for all that he’s blessed you with. Don’t forget today, you’re blessed and you’re loved!
“God is within her she will not fall.”
– Psalm 46:5
“Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
– Hebrews 11:1
